What can be seen as interference by one country, in the affairs of another, may also be seen as a stabilising factor, in terms of world peace, since the ideology of one country, cannot be held up as the standard by which all must live.
While the manifestation of history may appear to repeat, it is nonetheless symptomatic of a fundamental disagreement between countries, seemingly insurmountable, not least where world powers are concerned.

The notion that parity in relation to nuclear stockpiles, means that nuclear weapons will never be used, does not account for the downfall of a country, insofar as maintenance and safety is concerned, which presents an ever-present danger to humanity.
